DAVID JENNINGS

Experience/typical assignments

 

 

 

Prior to working in association with Inspiria, David worked for 18 years in Central Government, in the Welsh Office, MAFF and most recently at the DTI. He was also a trustee of a charity in the homelessness sector for 9 years. He is currently a Public Member of Network Rail, fulfilling a role of monitoring the Board on its management performance and corporate governance, similar to that of shareholders in a public limited company.

 

 

 

The widely varying subject matter in David's career has demanded versatility and an ability to move rapidly up the relevant learning curve and apply his analytical and problem-solving skills to the task in hand. He has a track record of developing and implementing practical policies and solutions which have stood the test of time, drawing common strands and applying ideas between widely differing fields. Within the DTI, David specialised in relationship management at a senior level, focussing on the automotive and chemical industries.

 

 

 

David has 15 years' experience of team leadership in a variety of roles, and is strongly committed to personal and team development. He has also taken an active role in promoting equal opportunities and the diversity agenda within the public sector.
