Oracle Corporation is the world’s largest enterprise software company with over 55,000 employees working in over 100 countries around the world. Oracle UK selected inspiria to review their Executive Academy.

 

Oracle’s Executive Academy is aimed at the UK’s senior managers who are demonstrating both high performance and high potential. The Foundation Day, a key component of the Executive Academy, is a day devoted to the individual, the output from which is a tailored development plan through which the individual can explore ways to promote their unique skills and talents in addition to developing areas of weakness.

 

 

The Brief: The objectives for the review were to:

 

  • Assess the effectiveness of the Executive Academy after 5 years of operation
  • Identify mechanisms for improvement, following Oracle’s significant growth through acquisition
  • Ensure continuing alignment with the company’s values and goals

 

 The Solution: 

  • Interviewing participants, line managers and sponsors
  • Measuring the effectiveness of the processes prior to and following the Foundation Day
  • Assessing the content of the Executive Academy in relation to the overall objectives
  • Identifying improvements to the preparation for and delivery of the Foundation Day
  • Identifying issues associated with the growth of the participant community, and the knock on effect in the sponsor community
  • Recommending next steps to maintain high standards and achievement
